when was the last time you truly
r e s t e d

for real though... this past year+ of working from home, not traveling, not gathering. have you just been filling up that extra time with working? (you’re not alone, I’m totally doing it too 😩)

I don’t know if you’re like me, but when I work from home I cook a little, work little, clean a little, work a lot, play with my cat, work, water my plants, work... it doesn’t really feel fair for me to stop my work hours at my regular work hours because I’ve been doing other stuff in between, so I just end up working all day until I really have to be somewhere. let be real, right now we barely have places we *have* to be in person, so work is basically just all the time.

so when do you fit in real, honest rest? I’m not talking about the 10 minutes it takes water your plants. I’m talking about some real time to let off steam, find a release for the stress of this last year+, and celebrate you.

if you’re made it this far, and you’d like to join me for some real, honest rest, I’m hosting an intimate group in the Grand Tetons for a yoga retreat over Memorial Day weekend.

👋🏼 allow me to re-introduce myself.

since I took a massive step back from ig I feel like there’s been so many new faces on my page - hi, all! let me take this chance to tell you 10 things you might not know about me.

1. in addition to teaching yoga I’m also a project manager for a small energy conservation company in Fremont.
2. I’m usually surfing or day dreaming about my next surf trip.
3. I took up snowboarding this year, and look out for me on the mountain y’all because I’m not good at it 😅
4. I love being a beginner. watching my progression in anything feels so rewarding!
5. I spent most of lockdown binge watching anime.
6. my favorite snack is strawberries.
7. I have two cuddly fur babies: a cat named toeby (because he has too many toes) and a rabbit named señorita suave (because she’s very soft).
8. I’ve been in seattle for 6 years, and am originally from the DC area.
9. sometimes I paint really silly water colors, and always paint my own thank you cards... they’re usually awful puns.
10. I’m a classic introverted extrovert. I love spending time with a small number of friends, and need lots of “me time” after meeting new people.
