Thankful...
This was such a great way to enter this Holiday week with the attendance of this beautiful Homebirth. I not only had the joy of assisting this family once, but now twice as they welcomed sweet little 8lb. 5 oz. Arley Lynn. Congratulations Mia, Tyler, Big Brother Mason, and Big Little Brother Wyatt. She is the perfect addition.

20 years ago today I gave birth to this cutie pie. I learned that I had strength that I never knew existed and learned of a love so much greater than eternity. Today I am blessed to walk along side a very strong mommy as she will birth her first born son. Happy Birthday my precious Gage and happy soon to be birthday little baby A.

Just received a message from one of my doula families. "We are expecting again...save the date!" How exciting! This is my 7th repeat client this year. I feel so blessed to be welcomed back into their sacred birth spaces and share this time with them again. I also love watching my doula babies become big brothers & sisters too...so precious.

Every now and then I come across something in a picture that takes my breath away. This first latch has one of those somethings. Look into this sweet babies eyes. What does she see? A beautiful, strong, mommy staring right back at her. Just precious.

There is nothing more powerful and beautiful than motherhood. The last thing I want to do is be controversial, so please take this for what it is, let us there is nothing worse than a mother that is judged for feeding her hungry child in public. I'm so proud of this cover and what it's stands for. I obviously don't look like this or wear while I am breastfeeding but this stands for all women out there, whether you breastfeed or not, we gave birth, we are women, we are mothers. Thank you to ELLE for being so bold and making such an encouraging, positive and healthy statement.
