On Tuesday November 11th around 0730hrs the Seneca County Communications Center dispatched Seneca Falls Volunteer Fire Department, the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department, and North Seneca Ambulance to an MVA at Route 89 and Noble Rd. Dispatch reported a vehicle possibly smoking and a patient with leg injuries. Assistant Chiefs Larsen (1463) , Assistant Chief Daily (1464), and Assistant Chief Archer (1465) all responded at time of call. 63 and 65 proceeded to the scene while 64 headed to the station for the Engine. 1465 arrived within 2 minutes of call right after the SFPD. North Seneca Ambulance responded with 2 ambulance for 2 male occupants with minor injuries. Assistant Chief Archer directed North Seneca to come in from Noble Rd as there was debris everywhere. Seneca Falls Engine 1 with 1464 and Rescue 1452 responded. Assistant Chief Larsen arrived on location and assumed command of the incident. Route 89 was shut down at the Cayuga Lake State Park by law enforcement and Route 89 at Lower Lake Rd was shut down by 1452. Crews worked to clean up 89 while Stevers towing hooked up the vehicle. It was determined that the vehicle was Eastbound on Noble Rd but due to icy road conditions was unable to stop on the hill at the intersection and hit a trailer being pulled by a pickup truck that was Northbound on Route 89. Two individuals were transported by NSA to GGH with minor injuries.

Today, members of the Seneca Falls Fire Department joined our friends from Waterloo Fire, Fayette Fire, North Seneca Ambulance, Seneca County 911, Seneca Falls Police Department, Seneca County Sheriffโ€™s Office, LifeNet 7-12 of Seneca Falls, Waterloo Police and Stevers Garage for Tractor Supply Co.โ€™s Hometown Heroes event in Seneca Falls.

On Friday October 24th we had two crews attending community events. The first crew was at the Mynderse vs Waterloo senior night football game to help support by flashing the lights, siren and horn for the touchdowns. The second crew went to Elizabeth Cady Stanton school with a truck to hand out candy.

On Thursday October 23rd at 1748 hrs the Seneca County Communications Center dispatched the Seneca Falls Volunteer Fire Department, Town of Seneca Falls Police Department , and North Seneca Ambulance to River Rd in the area of Sauders for the one car mva Rollover. First arriving officer , 1464, confirmed a one vehicle rollover with vehicle into the woods and occupants out. 1461, 1462, 1463, 1464, 1465, and Engine 1 all responded to the scene. North Seneca Ambulance responded and provided care to the occupants. Seneca Falls Fire Police shut River Rd down at the Elks Club and at Kingdom Rd to ensure safety of all first responders on scene. Stevers Garage responded with 3 trucks and removed the truck from the woods. Fortunately both occupants of the vehicle did not require a transport to the hospital. River rd was reopened a short time later after all units were clear of the scene.

On Wednesday October 15th at 2147 hrs the Seneca County Communications Center dispatched the Seneca Falls Volunteer Fire Department, the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department , the Waterloo Fire Department, the Fayette Fire Department, the Geneva Fire Department, and North Seneca Ambulance for the electrical outlet on fire inside the residence. First arriving officer ( Assistant Chief Daily ) reported a 2 story residential with smoke showing and a hydrant directly across from the house. District Chief Farnsworth arrived right after 1464 and assumed IC. 1661 was assigned operations until 1462 arrived at which time Deputy Chief Larsen assumed that role. Seneca Falls Engine 1, Quint 1, Engine 3, and Squad 52 all responded. Assistant Chief Larsen, Assistant Chief Daily, Captain Donato, and Firefighter Pickard were the first crew through the door and had an excellent hit on the fire. Crews from Waterloo and Fayette arrived and assisted with extinguishment of fire on the outside along with ventilation. 1461 requested Canoga to standby at Seneca Falls Station while everyone was tied up. Crews operated for about an hour ensuring all pockets of hidden fire were found and extinguished. Other resources requested by IC included the Seneca County Fire Investigation team, Seneca County Code Enforcement, and Nyseg. Final units were clear a little after 2300 hrs.

On Thursday October 9th at 1714 hrs the Seneca Falls Fire Department was dispatched to the Huntington Building at 201 Fall Street for the fire alarm activation. 1461 and 1464 arrived shortly after dispatch with a Building mostly evacuated with an active fire alarm. Seneca Falls Engine 1, Quint 1, and Squad 52 responded. Crews entered the structure to find a smoke condition on the 1st floor caused by burnt food. Crews vented the building and the alarm system was reset. Units were back in service in about 20 minutes.

***NYS BURN BAN NOW IN EFFECT****
Governor Kathy Hochul, with the New York State Department of Environmental
Conservation, today announced a statewide burn ban in effect starting today, October 2 due to increased fire risk and continued dry conditions. The ban will be in effect for 14 days from Oct. 2 to Oct. 15 and will be revaluated prior to expiration.

While you all were sleeping last night your volunteers were at it again. Just before 3 AM we were dispatched to an address on Seneca Rd for a hot tub on fire near the structure. 1461, 1462, 1464, 1465, 1466, Engine 3 and Squad 52 all responded. First unit on scene ( 1464 ) reported the hot tub on fire with no extension into the house. The crew from Engine 3 pulled a handline and extinguished the fire. Units were back in service within 30 minutes.

On Saturday September 20th at 1618 hrs the Seneca County Communications Center dispatched the Seneca Falls Volunteer Fire Department, the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department, the Geneva Fire Department, the Fayette Fire Department, the Waterloo Fire Department, and North Seneca Ambulance to the Circle K on Fall Street for the report of smoke coming from the business. Assistant Chief Daily (1464) arrived on the scene at the same time of dispatch. He advised dispatch that the Ansul System had discharged and there was no Fire or smoke. He had all mutual aid departments hold in quarters and requested Seneca Falls Quint 1 to the scene to check the top of the store and fuel pumps. Quint 1 with 1465, 1463 and 1461 arrived to assist 1464. Captain Donato (1466) and crew verified no fire on the roof while code enforcement was requested to the scene. Preliminary investigation revealed a possible glitch in the credit card system which activated the entire Ansul System on both sides of the store. Once Code Enforcement was on location the scene was turned over to them and all Seneca Falls units were back in service.

On Friday September 19th around 1943 hrs , while on standby for the Waterloo Fire Dept, the Seneca County Communications Center dispatched us to the Gould Hotel for the smell of gas inside the building. 1461, 1464, 1465, Quint 1, Engine 1, Engine 3, and Squad 52 all responded at time of dispatch. Upon arrival Quint 1 was assigned State Street side, Engine 1 was assigned the plug at the corner of Fall St and State St, Engine 3 was assigned a plug up on State St near the Post Office, and Squad 52 was assigned traffic control at Jefferson St and State St. Assistant Chief Daily (1464) was assigned interior operations command , Assistant Chief Archer (1465) was assigned outside operations, and District Chief Farnsworth (1461) had Incident Command. Hotel staff provided the command staff with a list of guests and rooms assigned. There were 54 guests at time of Incident. Crews entered the structure and went room by room ensuring everyone had exited the building. Command requested an expedited response from Nyseg due to the size of the building and the gas within the building. Once building was cleared all units stood by outside until Nysegs arrival. 1464 and the representative from Nyseg entered the building. Once the problem was discovered the situation was mitigated. Guests were allowed back into the building and units were clear by 2100 hrs.
