We’d like to recognize Michelle Kohl, Office Manager at Sharon Community Health Center, for her dedication to supporting our community beyond the walls of our clinic.

Michelle has been hard at work restocking SCHC’s food pantry and preparing ready-to-go food bags for patients and neighbors facing food insecurity, helping ensure access to nutritious meals for those who need it most. Her leadership plays an important role in addressing social needs that impact overall health and well-being.

We’re also grateful to our community partners who make this work possible, including Mercer County Food Bank , Meals of Hope, and the The Community Foundation of Western PA and Eastern Ohio, whose support and funding help keep our pantry stocked.

Thank you, Michelle, for the care, commitment, and heart you bring to our mission every day. 💙

A few handy tips to get some fresh air and keep your body moving even in the cold!

Don't let falling temperatures stop your outdoor exercise plans. Take a few extra steps to stay safe:
🔹 Warm up and cool down, such as stretching or walking in place, to prepare and restore your muscles before and after a workout.
🔹 Pick the right clothes. Dress in several layers of loose clothing to trap warm air between them. Wear a waterproof coat or jacket if it's snowy or rainy, and don't forget a hat, scarf, and gloves.
🔹 Be extra careful around snow and icy sidewalks so you won't slip and fall. Wear sturdy shoes to give you proper footing.
🔹 Know the signs of hypothermia, a drop in body temperature that can cause serious health problems.
🔹 Check the forecast. If it's too windy, cold, or wet outside, consider an indoor workout instead using an online video or your own routine.
