This isn’t a Republican vs. Democrat issue. This is a real-people, real-life issue.
There’s a lot of noise right now about shutdowns, subsidies, and healthcare — so let’s simplify it:
✅ No one is arguing that subsidies should disappear.
✅ The debate is about whether families earning over 400% of the Federal Poverty Level should still qualify.
✅ If temporary expansions expire, we simply return to pre-2020 rules.
But here’s the truth most people are missing:
If a family of four making around $128,000 a year still can’t afford health insurance without help, that’s not a “left vs. right” problem — that’s a broken system problem.
We all want the government open. We all want stability.
But we also live in a time where families are forced to choose between:
Healthcare or groceries.
Medication or rent.
And that should never be normal in the wealthiest country on Earth.
I work in this space every day. I see families who want to do things right — who work hard, budget, stretch every dollar — and still struggle to access healthcare.
Our healthcare system should operate more like Medicare:
🌿 Preventive care first
🚑 Emergency & sick care covered
💊 Affordable prescriptions
🚫 Not a gateway to cosmetic trends or the latest weight-loss fad
✅ Focused on real health outcomes
Americans don’t want handouts — we want opportunity, we want access, and we want affordable care so we can stay healthy enough to work, raise families, and build our future.
And for anyone who assumes people are “living off the system” — let me offer real life:
I’ve had assistance before.
I used it while I worked, pushed, studied, parented — and grew from under $20k a year to over $80k a year in three years. That support helped me build stability — and now I pay back into the same system through my taxes. That’s how it’s supposed to work.
Most people don’t abuse the system — they use it to get to a better place.
So instead of pointing fingers at one party or the other, let’s be honest:
The real fight isn’t Republican vs. Democrat.
It’s working-class vs. a broken structure that keeps the wealthy comfortable and the everyday American struggling.
We deserve a system that:
✨ Makes care affordable
✨ Rewards work and financial growth
✨ Helps families get ahead, not stuck
✨ Prioritizes health, not politics
I’ll be hosting educational sessions soon to help everyday families understand their insurance, avoid surprise bills, and make the best healthcare choices possible.
Because we don’t have to wait for Washington to fix everything —
but we do have to stop acting like we’re powerless.
Knowledge is power.
And when families are empowered, communities rise. 💪🏽❤️🇺🇸
