Dear beloved patients,

I write this letter with a heavy heart and mixed emotions. After almost 13 incredible years with you all, I am leaving the Downtown Clinic. I have accepted a job at the VA clinic in Shawnee. I will be leaving the private sector to finish out my career caring for our Veterans. I held out as long as I could as a sole provider but just don’t have the man power, time and patience to fight with insurance companies any longer.

I want to express my SINCERE gratitude for the opportunity to have served you and your families for all these years. Thank you for entrusting me with your care. I hope and pray the relationships we
have built over the years continue. You all have become such dear friends!

I have been waiting months for an official start date so I apologize as this seems like such short notice. My start date at the VA is next Monday, October 6th. I will be available for the next month or two after hours for some appointments in clinic and mostly telemedicine. My ultimate goal is to find an amazing provider or team of providers to buy my clinic and continue your care at the Downtown Clinic. I will keep you posted the more I know.

I interrupted a hawk when it was trying to murder this bird behind my clinic. I don’t know what to do. The bird is still alive. I can’t tell the damage if anyone knows how to help wounded birds and they want to help, it’s behind the Downtown Clinic 124 N. Main.😢
