Our rehab treatment plans cater to individuals and meet the changing needs of our clients as they progress. Neuro RehabCare is a comprehensive post-acute brain and spinal cord rehabilitation residential care facility focused on helping individuals attain the highest level of personal and social independence in order to improve and maximize their quality of life.

A few of us volunteered at Restart Inc., a vital homeless services organization in downtown Kansas City.

Juan worked diligently assembling hygiene kits despite his arm being in a cast, while Armando helped distribute shampoo and navigated stairs with support from his therapists. The group prepared laundry detergent containers and created bookmarks for the children served by Restart.

We are deeply grateful to Restart for hosting us and for the essential resources they provide to those experiencing homelessness in our community.

This week, March 23–27, we’re highlighting Brain Injury Awareness Month through daily themes that honor survivors, caregivers, and the importance of brain health and recovery.

Here’s the schedule:

• Mindful Monday – Protect Your Brain
Wear helmets or safety gear to promote brain injury prevention.

• Tired Tuesday – Rest & Recover
Comfy clothes or pajamas are encouraged—rest is an essential part of healing.

• Wacky Wednesday – Things Feel Different
Mismatched outfits or fun hairstyles remind us that life after brain injury can feel different, yet resilience shines through.

Gary, guided by his dedicated physical therapist Braiden, achieved a significant milestone by walking independently from the kitchen to his bedroom door—clear evidence of the strength, mobility, and confidence he continues to rebuild through our personalized physical therapy programs. Daily group circuit training sessions also enable multiple clients to build strength, endurance, and coordination in a structured, supportive environment.

Congratulations to HH and AP for successfully meeting their individualized cooking goals during today’s lunch preparation session.

HH demonstrated excellent precision and skill by independently halving the tomatoes, while AP expertly prepared a flavorful dressing for the pasta salad. Their dedication, teamwork, and contributions to the shared meal reflect significant progress in functional skills, fine motor coordination, and confidence—key milestones in their neurological rehabilitation journey.
