Neuro RehabCare is a comprehensive post-acute brain and spinal cord rehabilitation residential care facility focused on helping individuals attain the highest level of personal and social independence in order to improve and maximize their quality of life.

A meaningful community outing at Neuro RehabCare - Kansas City!

Armando joined our weekly trip to the bank and market, practicing real-world skills every step of the way. He navigated getting in and out of the NRC van with confidence and independence—a huge win in his mobility progress!

While shopping, Armando proudly selected cookies made in Guatemala, sharing a piece of his heritage with the group. He couldn’t resist enjoying one right there in the store (and we don’t blame him!).

These outings are more than errands—they’re opportunities for our residents to rebuild daily living skills, boost confidence, and stay connected to the community they love.

For the first time since his injury in August 2025, Jerald stood again after a long and challenging hospitalization. Since returning home to Neuro RehabCare - Scottsdale, he has been dedicating himself to intensive therapy, pushing through every session with determination to reach this moment.

’Tis the season for giving!

Our Neuro RehabCare staff and residents came together with incredible joy and cheer to deliver heartfelt gifts to our neighbors at Arbor Rose Senior Living.

This meaningful community connection through gift-giving and delivery was a rewarding experience for everyone involved—fostering smiles, building bonds, and spreading holiday spirit!

For our residents living with traumatic brain injuries (TBIs) and spinal cord injuries (SCIs), it was also a wonderful opportunity to put their therapy into action: practicing fine motor skills while wrapping presents and reinforcing safe mobility, balance, and daily living skills as they reached, passed, and delivered each gift.

At Neuro RehabCare - Scottsdale, we’re proud to support recovery not just through therapy, but by empowering our residents to give back and thrive in the community. Even though Christmas has passed, the season of giving still reigns strong here at NRC—reminding us that joy, kindness, and connection shine all year long!

We wrapped up with lively blackjack rounds into 2026—Chris, Juan, Max, Graham, Jonathan, and more laughing over snacks, with Dante as our dedicated dealer! Despite diverse backgrounds, our community shines with genuine care, big wins, and small celebrations.

As he prepares to embark on an exciting new chapter of independent living, we are filled with pride and joy—he is more than ready for this next step into independent living.

We’ll miss his daily coffee runs and the wonderful stories, jokes, and interesting facts that always brightened our mornings. Lawrence, you’ve touched each of our hearts in such a meaningful way.

⭐ Client Shoutout: Meet Cory! ⭐

Welcome to Cory, one of our newest clients at Neuro RehabCare of Waterloo. His resilience is truly inspiring—after a brain injury, over 20 years of homelessness, mental health challenges, and overcoming substance abuse, he’s turning the page on a brighter chapter.

These struggles are sadly common among those with brain injuries, especially without family support. But here, Cory has found his family again.

He’s grateful, motivated, and always ready to lend a hand—whether taking out trash, shoveling snow, or keeping common areas tidy. Every day, he shows his appreciation by crushing his personal goals.

We’re incredibly proud of his progress and can’t wait to see him achieve his dreams: a steady job and his own apartment.

Clients and therapists split into teams for an epic decorating battle with premade houses. Coin toss for mystery bags, riddles to hunt extra icing & goodies—pure creativity!

Community wins at Neuro RehabCare Kansas City!

Juan and Max tackled a real-world outing—hitting the bank and Walmart for some practical skill-building. Max grabbed all the ingredients he needed for a delicious carne asada meal, while Juan stocked up on yogurts and got plenty of steps in keeping up through the aisles.

At the same time, Graham crushed his stair training session with Braiden in therapy—pure determination and progress!

Turning everyday tasks into powerful steps toward independence, confidence, and recovery.
