The snake goddesses from the palace of Knossos were especially inspiring 🐍 incredible works of art by ancient people ✨ who we would do well to learn from. This was the home of the fabled Minotaur, King Minos & Queen Parsiphae of Cretan legend, and the palace grounds feature the oldest road in Europe going to their place of worship. ✨

At the temple of Asclépias I found the closest thing to the ancient sacred spring, anointed myself with the water there, and stained my lips with a ripe pressed olive. Asclépias, Hygieia, Athena & Aphrodite bless ✨ thank you Athens I ❤️ you
