Hello Winter.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this is Kidney season, home of our deepest reserves, our Jing, our life battery.
This is the time of year to slow down, warm, and store. Rest becomes medicine. Stillness becomes nourishment. The Kidneys crave quiet, early nights, warm foods that move slow through the body: black beans, bone broth, walnuts, miso, warming spices like ginger and cinnamon.
Keep the low back and feet warm, avoid cold drinks, and sip deeply from broths and teas that comfort from within.
