The momentum of the childcare coalition work is literally contagious.

The Mason County Childcare Coalition reconvened in January, co-facilitated by MasonEDC and Mason Matters, bringing partners together to begin shaping actionable strategies to improve childcare access and strengthen the local workforce. The discussion focused on aligning priorities, identifying next steps, and connecting childcare to broader workforce and economic development efforts.

Our workshops begin January 31st which is less than two weeks away. There are still spots available. Preregister now and get 5 sessions for $25 which includes zoom access and recordings.

Our Community Credit Union is awarding up to 10 $5,000 scholarships to graduating seniors in the Class of 2026 who are preparing to attend an accredited college, university, community college, or vocational or technical school. Applicants must be OURCU members in good standing. Applicantions are digital only and must include transcripts and up to three letters of recommendation.

Incomplete submissions will not be reviewed, so applicants should verify all materials are uploaded before submitting. The deadline to apply is April 3, 2026.
