I want to share a gentle, trauma‑informed movement you can try at home to help your body feel safer and your mind clearer. Start seated with your feet on the floor. Place one hand on your belly, the other on your chest. Breathe slowly for five counts in, five counts out. Notice what you feel: tightness, warmth, a shift, or maybe nothing at all — all of it is okay. When you exhale, sway your hands across your belly in a soft, grounding arc. Repeat for 1–3 minutes. Let each sweep say: “I’m here. I’m safe.” Movement helps release held tension and communicates safety to your nervous system.
