Position Summary
The Front Office Receptionist works to ensure a variety of reception and clerical tasks are completed timely and accurately. The ideal candidate will be a multi-tasker, cooperative, motivated, detail-oriented self-starter. The position offers a socially distanced work environment, as 95% of our workforce is remote, and the employee would be working around 1 or 2 additional staff members in the office most days. The hours are M-F, 10am-3pm. Pay is commensurate with experience.
Qualifications
• High School diploma, GED equivalent, required
• Minimum 1 year experience in a healthcare business office/medical collection agency setting, or similar professional office environment preferred
• Comfortable handling patient financial services documents including patient medical records, billing statements, insurance and legal documents
• Proficiency using standard office equipment (PC, phone, scanner, copier, fax)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel and web-based forms
• Working knowledge of basic mathematical principles
• Strong attention to detail with ability to recognize errors or mistakes
• Ability to organize, prioritize and multitask
• Demonstrated ability for self-direction and initiative
• Ability to meet strict deadlines for deliveries and customer service-related tasks
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Familiarity with FinVi’s TCS system a plus
• Bilingual in both English and Spanish a plus
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Reception Duties, including greeting customers and accepting walk-in payments
• Incoming Mail Handling: Identify, route, sort, and/or scan mail
• Outgoing Mail Handling: Verify, scan, stuff, seal, weigh, meter mail
• Document Handling: Identify, classify, sort, route, scan, fax, copy and/or print documents
• Miscellaneous typing/accurate data entry
• Handling time-sensitive and confidential materials
• Light phone duties and call routing assigned as needed
• Assist front and back office with miscellaneous tasks as needed
Job Type: Part Time: M-F 10am-3pm

Required experience: Healthcare Business Office/Medical Collection Agency Office Setting/Similar Professional Office Setting: 1 year
