Due to inclement weather, our WellCare Clinic (Family Medicine, Occupational Health and Pediatrics), Outpatient Therapy Clinic and Hyperbaric/Wound Care Clinic will remain closed tomorrow, Monday, January 26, in alignment with Sherman ISD.

Please note: the rest of the hospital remains open and operating 24/7. If you need care, our team is here for you. Stay safe and warm! ❄️

🏠 Stay indoors during extreme cold when possible
🔥 Use space heaters safely and never leave them unattended
🚗 Avoid unnecessary travel and keep an emergency kit in your vehicle
💙 Check on elderly family members, neighbors, and anyone with medical needs

🇺🇸 Walk of Honor 🇺🇸
Today, our Sherman Medical Center family came together to honor a fallen veteran with a solemn Walk of Honor. Employees lined the halls holding American flags as Taps echoed overhead, and we paused for a moment of silence to pay tribute to a life lived in service to our country.
We are grateful for the sacrifices made by our veterans and their families. May we never forget the courage, dedication, and love of country shown by those who serve. ❤️🤍💙

This week, Texoma Medical Center was swamped with more emergency in-patient cases than they had room for, leading to transfers to Sherman Medical Center.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of one of our wonderful volunteers, Ardie. She was known for her big heart, her passion for helping others, and the free‑spirited way she moved through the world. Ardie lived life on her own terms, always choosing joy, kindness, and authenticity.

Ardie dedicated herself to SMC as a volunteer since 2003, giving more than 20,000 hours of her time in service to others. Her commitment touched countless lives and strengthened our community in immeasurable ways.

Her presence made a difference, and her absence will be deeply felt.
Ardie will truly be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Please keep her family and loved ones in your thoughts during this difficult time.

The Joint Commission is an independent, evidence-based standards setting organization that sets the benchmark for safe, high-quality care through healthcare certification, has recognized Sherman Medical Center as a TJC Certified Primary Stroke Center, a symbol of our commitment to providing safe, high-quality stroke care to all.

Our Chief Medical Officer, Dr. James Frame, was recently featured in a KXII news story discussing updates to the CDC’s childhood vaccine recommendations. The new guidance emphasizes individualized care and shared decision-making between families and their physicians. As always, we encourage parents to have open conversations with their child’s healthcare provider to determine what’s best for their family. 🩺🧒

Effective January 5th, the previous list of 17 childhood vaccine recommendations is now 11. The CDC said the change is to mimic the standards in other countries.
