Reinventing Ourselves Reinventing Ourselves:
A 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to promoting health, happiness, and hope with the goal of preventing suicide.

Reinventing Ourselves, a 501c3 Nonprofit Organization, exists to promote health, happiness, and hope through holistic health and wellness education—empowering individuals, especially veterans and other vulnerable populations, to overcome life’s challenges. By offering, comprehensive programs grounded in the eight dimensions of the wellness wheel—physical, nutritional, emotional, environmental, relational, financial, contributional, and spiritual—we equip people with the tools they need to thrive. While all services are free for combat Veterans, and a few other select vulnerable populations, the public can access the same transformative resources for a modest donation, ensuring our support remains inclusive and accessible to all. Our ultimate goal is to prevent suicide by fostering proactive well-being and by building a stronger, more resilient community.

My Japanese study of the day from Asakusa, Tokyo, Japan.

Broken, But Made More Beautiful.

In Japan, there is a beautiful art called Kintsugi—the practice of repairing broken pottery with gold.

Instead of hiding the cracks, they highlight them.
Because the break is part of the story… not something to erase.

Rooted in the philosophy of wabi-sabi, kintsugi reminds us:

✨ You are not broken
✨ Your scars hold meaning
✨ Healing can make you more beautiful than before

What if the hardest parts of your life are actually your gold? What do you think?

My Japanese study of the day from Asakusa, Tokyo, Japan:

There’s something powerful about slowing down long enough to simply… write. 🖌️

In Japan, calligraphy—Shodō, the “way of writing”—is more than art. It’s a form of meditation. Each brushstroke reflects your breath, your focus, and your state of mind. There are no erasers—just presence, intention, and acceptance.

In a world that constantly pushes us to go faster, maybe true wellness is found in moments like this… slowing down, being present, and letting your energy flow—one stroke at a time.
