🔥 The Correction That Heals — What I Found in the Word Today
This morning, while studying Isaiah 53, I stumbled upon a Hebrew word that completely reshaped how I understand healing — מוּסָר (musar).
At first glance, musar means “discipline” or “correction.” But in the original language, it’s not about punishment — it’s about restorative correction: a loving refinement that brings the soul back into harmony with divine order.
When Scripture says, “The chastisement of our peace was upon Him,” it literally means:
“The corrective discipline necessary to restore our wholeness was laid upon Him.”
That’s breathtaking.
Christ didn’t just bear our pain — He bore the musar that restores peace between God and humanity.
Through His stripes, we aren’t merely pardoned — we are retrained toward wholeness.
And suddenly, I saw disease in a new light.
What if our symptoms are not betrayals of the body — but messages from the soul?
What if illness itself is musar — a signal that something within us longs to be brought back into divine alignment?
My understanding of disease has radically been moving in this direction, as more revelation has ignited our efforts and work here at Upward Way Homestead.
