They compared men who used the sauna once a week vs. those who used it 4-7 times a week.

✨The Shocking Results: The frequent sauna users had:

✅50% lower risk of fatal cardiovascular disease.

✅63% lower risk of sudden cardiac death.

✅40% lower risk of all-cause mortality (dying from anything).

Why?

Heat Shock Proteins.

When your core body temperature rises, your body produces Heat Shock Proteins (HSPs).

It reduces activity in pain-related regions like the anterior cingulate cortex and insula while increasing activity in regulatory regions of the prefrontal cortex. 🧠

Translation? 👇🏻

✨The sensation may still exist — but the suffering decreases.

And it doesn’t stop there.

✅Meditation also lowers inflammation.

Chronic pain is often tied to low-grade systemic inflammation.

Research shows meditation can: • Reduce NF-κB activation (a key inflammatory pathway)

• Lower CRP (C-reactive protein)

• Decrease pro-inflammatory cytokines

Studies from Wake Forest School of Medicine found mindfulness meditation reduced pain intensity by up to ~40% and pain unpleasantness by ~57% in experimental settings.
