True, but I don’t think it’s about other people and their goals. I took a career to seriously that I was trying to succeed at and left a lot of people behind in the process. Now I wish I wasn’t so driven and listened to what advice others had to say. Now, I got burned out with a little circle of friends. I miss some of my past relationships with friends more than I do the career. I should’ve been content but school was an escape for me. If I had to do it all over again. I’d choose differently in a lot of different ways. But I felt my self worth was tied to my success in a career. Little did I know then my worth is not tied to anything else but loving myself for who I am as I am. I wish I had known that in my 20’s.
