In 2021, Kim Regan officially took over Kathy's Florist on Calumet Avenue. What most people don’t see behind the bouquets and weddings?

7-day work weeks.
Late night bridal texts.
Perishable inventory risks.
And a deep commitment to serving Northwest Indiana.

But that’s only half the story.

Kim is also heavily involved with Humane Indiana — an 80+ year nonprofit animal shelter and wildlife rescue serving Hammond, Munster, Valparaiso, and surrounding communities. They operate 100% on donations and are preparing for their major fundraiser at Hard Rock Casino in Gary on March 21.
