The National Association for Public Health Statistics and Information Systems (NAPHSIS) is the national association of state vital records and public health statistics offices which is based in the Washington, DC area. It serves as a crucial advocate for state vital records and public health statistics offices across the United States. Comprising over 250 public health professionals from each state, the five territories, New York, and the District of Columbia, NAPHSIS provides national advocacy, technical assistance, training, educational programming, and valuable resources to support and promote its membership.

NAPHSIS was proud to exhibit and share a poster presentation at the 2025 American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM) Annual Meeting & Exhibition in Palm Springs, CA this last week! We were there to promote the Birth eLearning Training Module developed by the CDC.

This is an excellent resource for physicians, nurses, and non-clinical staff at hospitals or free-standing birthing centers who are responsible for completing the medical and health information sections of the certificate of live birth and report of fetal death.
