Tonya and Jennifer bring a unique combination of expertise as both Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialists (CDCES) and Registered Dietitians. They specialize in:

✔️ Meal planning & weight management
✔️ Diabetes medication management & recommendations
✔️ CGM (Continuous Glucose Monitor) use and interpretation
✔️ Exercise goal setting

Jennifer is also certified in Omnipod insulin pump training and can assist with insulin pump management.

Val Van Zandbergen, ARNP, recently joined the diabetes care team as a provider offering individualized medication planning, diabetes management, and advanced CGM interpretation. With training in endocrinology, Val provides specialized care—especially for those using insulin pumps or struggling to maintain stable blood sugar levels. She also serves as a valuable resource between primary care and endocrinology for more complex cases.

Together, the Sioux Center Health Diabetes Team works with you 1:1 to set realistic goals, make meaningful lifestyle changes, and better manage your condition.

We’re thrilled to welcome Lindsey to the Sioux Center Health Mental Health team!

Lindsey has been supporting individuals and families as a licensed therapist since 2025. She previously worked as a substance abuse counselor during her master’s program and as a transplant social worker with Avera in Sioux Falls.

With a caring, strengths-based approach, Lindsey is passionate about helping people find healing, growth, and balance in every season of life. She especially enjoys walking alongside those navigating chronic illness, anxiety, grief, and life transitions.

In addition to meeting with patients at Sioux Center Health, Lindsey will also be counseling at Unity Christian High School and the Hull Medical Clinic.
