𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗻 𝗢𝗕 𝗻𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲?
Once I started training in OB, I felt an instant sense of peace and knew I had found my calling. Caring for moms in labor brings me so much joy, and celebrating birthdays every day never gets old. Throughout this past year, my passion has continued to grow as I’ve met more families and cared for many people from our community.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗺𝗼𝗺/𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗸𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿?
One thing I wish every patient knew is that our birthing classes at Sioux Center are FREE! They help families feel more prepared for labor and include a tour of the unit so you know what amenities are available. Some of our nurses are also Certified Lactation Counselors and are here to support you throughout your breastfeeding journey.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗮 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗢𝗕 𝗻𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲?
Being a strong advocate for your patient’s needs, recognizing when they may need help before they ask, and clearly explaining things to both mom and dad before offering them. Continuing to learn and grow ensures the best care for every family.

Utilize Spinning Babies, the whirlpool tub, or walking around the unit to help progress labor. And never be afraid to ask your nurse questions—we love listening and helping create the best delivery experience possible. 👶🤍
