I used to be so self conscious because I used to bloat up so bad to the point it would be super painful.😑⁠

Luckily, I was able to find ways to help and now I hardly ever deal with it! With swim suit season just around the corner, keep reading for few more tricks to keep in mind if bloating is an issue for you! ⁠

Bloating is such a broad symptom and many things could be contributing. As you see, it's not going to be so much about adding certain foods in, but taking certain foods out!⁠

What causes bloating? đŸ€”â 
⁠
1. Chronic Stress: body produces excess amounts of cortisol → retain sodium → water retention and swelling⁠
⁠
2. Compromised Microbiome/Gut Dysbiosis/Estrobolome: most commonly caused due to inflammation from wheat and dairy, antibiotic usage, and medications⁠
⁠
3. Nutrient Deficiencies

Plus, give those adrenals a break...try to incorporate 5 minutes of deep breathing each day and see if that helps. Diaphragmatic breathing and walking usually helps me quite a bit! ⁠

Health Tip Tuesday: DITCH THE PLASTIC LIDS⁠

BPA is a known thyroid and endocrine disruptor. That means that BPA chemicals impair hormone production as well as gene expression.đŸ˜±â

Worse still, research shows that it doesn't take much to disrupt your hormones. These small chemical exposures can add up especially if you have a daily habit of drinking hot liquids through a plastic lid. ⁠
⁠
Heat from the drink will cause the lids to leach high amounts of BPA into your drinkđŸ€ąâ 
⁠
My advice: ditch the plastic lids or opt for your own glass/ceramic container for your delicious beverage to reduce your BPA exposure.😊⁠
