It’s World Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Day💙💛! This is the group of kiddos that I have been lucky enough to know and work with who truly radiate so much happiness and joy. It's that joy that has driven me to seek out additional training and treatment options including the use of NISE-Stim.

NISE-Stim was developed in 2017 by Gerti Motavalli, PT, MPT, along with Dr. Gad Alon, PT, Ph.D., an internationally recognized researcher in electrical stimulation. It uses safe electrical currents delivered through electrodes placed over the spinal cord and specific areas of the body to stimulate muscle movement, enhance neuromuscular coordination, and improve motor, sensory and autonomic functions. Through this specific treatment protocol, I am able to team with families/parents to help kiddos accomplish goals that were previously unavailable.

🌎💚Today is World Cerebral Palsy Day💚🌎

The standard of care for those impacted by Cerebral Palsy has dramatically evolved over the years and at Tiny Tots PT, I am A.L.W.A.Y.S. researching and expanding the different treatment techniques to be able to bring them to all of 'our kiddos'. 💗💙

BIG NEWS!!! We are beyond excited that the long wait is over and we are now home to our Universal Exercise Unit (UEU)- also known as the Spider Cage!

This cutting -edge equipment has been on my wish list for a long time because it helps kids build strength, balance, coordination, and confidence through safe and supported movement and resistance activities. It is especially beneficial for children with cerebral palsy, developmental delays, and other motor challenges. We can’t wait to elevate the level of progress for our kids!

It was a true pleasure to assist our ‘little friends’ at the community event organized by our ‘big friends’ at Fun&Friends, Special Olympics SD, and B&K Adaptive with their Strider and Adaptive Bike class last night! Can’t wait to see everyone again for the next 4 classes🚴

Happy Father’s Day to the army of Dad’s that are always devoted to doing whatever it takes to team with us to ensure their child’s success. We see your love and dedication , and every once in a while, we get to catch these hard fought for moments that even your child tells you ‘thank you’. For what? For just always pushing, believing, and being your child’s biggest source of love and advocacy ♥️

What a week! From ‘see ya later’ to ‘welcome aboard’ - it was a BIG week at Tiny Tots PT.

Today we said ‘see you later’ to our PT Tech, Amber as she starts her doctoral PT program next week. Amber has been with me for over a year now and has literally busted her tail for me in more ways than I can count, has been my right and left hand, and has figured out “Lori speak” to be able to read my thoughts/needs when working with kids before I can typically even ask her😂. She is SO going to be missed, but I have no doubt she is going to be an amazing PT and I hope to see her back when PT school is done 😉

But …. out of the clear blue sky…dropped in my lap …2 amazing Physical Therapy Assistants- Jen & Morgan- who joined the team this week! So for 1 day- I got to be the ‘mother hen’ that I am and have everyone together at once for a photo op♥️.
