Our bodies are incredibly complex organisms, with nonstop systems functioning like entire factories to keep us alive!

Our bodies are so good at sustaining existence, that we barely have to think about it.

Yet we can easily get so caught up in picking apart what we don’t like about our bodies that we forget to appreciate everything our bodies do for us. ❤️

Immense gratitude comes when we let go of body image thoughts (at least for a moment) and focus on the gift our bodies are.

Check out some remarkable human body facts in this blog post! Link in bio. 🙌🙌🙌

Broadening your definition of exercise and redefining what it means to move gives room for you to engage in pleasant movement throughout the day. In turn, you’ll probably move more regularly!

Our bodies were made to move. We have always been able to innately rely on our body’s own ability to keep our blood flowing and our muscles mobile.

There’s nothing wrong with formal exercise. If you genuinely enjoy it, great! But it’s not a requirement for “health.” Gyms, weights, resistance bands, and pilates classes haven’t always been around, and people survived just fine without them!

Formal exercise is one way to move; however, your body doesn’t know the difference between picking up weights or unloading groceries. All movement is movement.

Intuitive exercise and joyful movement are centered around freedom, not fear. With freedom comes the desire to move purely for the benefits!

Now that spring is here and summer is upon us there’s much to look forward to. A relaxed schedule, vacations, and sunny days spent outside. What’s not to love, right?

Well, for those who know what it feels like to dread lighter clothing and swimsuits, the warmer weather also heightens body image concerns.

The pressure to achieve a perfect beach body is in full force. Commercials and advertisements bombard you with new diets and workout plans promising quick results to tone up before heading to the beach.

Your summer can easily be stolen if you’re preoccupied with picking your body apart and wishing you were thinner or more toned. Instead of letting this season of sunshine pass by, you can choose to make this summer a positive experience!

Check out my latest blog post to learn more about leaving your body image concerns behind so you can enjoy the warm weather! Link in bio. ⛱🍉🏝🍦☀️👙🕶😎

Do you find yourself saying, “I can’t stop eating sugar!” whenever you eat sweets and feel like you don’t have the power to put them down? Sugar seems to have a pull on you, so it’s fair to believe sugar must be addicting, right?

Even scientists and health professionals have opinions about why your sweet tooth lands in the same category as drug addiction. Sugar is said to be the culprit in your chaotic eating behaviors, and slapping the “addictive” label on it has resulted in the widely known idea of sugar addiction. But this is a myth!

Many people demonize sugar as if it is really a drug, but this is a highly flawed viewpoint. To uncover the truth and set the facts on sweets straight, let’s debunk the theory of sugar addiction by breaking down the studies and research for you to see that it is, in fact, not true.

Check out how sugar addiction is debunked on my blog! Link in bio.

THIS! Love this article. I can't tell you how many people I've worked with who hear weight comments from others and then they start engaging in eating disorder behaviors again. Please don't make any body comments. Period. Even if you are trying to be nice or help someone feel better. You never know if the person is struggling OR if the people around you who hear that comment are struggling!
