Support — Abandonment — Accountability.

Things can sometimes get pretty messy when these three meet.

Healing is understanding that not everyone who leaves was meant to stay.

Sometimes what we view as abandonment is the other party choosing peace. Support doesn’t always look like saving or fixing. Sometimes it forces you to sit with yourself and start to heal the things you’ve been running from. Sometimes support simply looks like giving someone room to breathe.

Healing taught me that not everyone will show up how you hoped BUT you can hold space for your own healing and still expect better from others. That type of accountability is hard but it is the most radical form of self-love you’ll ever practice.

This will forever be in my Core Memory Hall of Fame!!!!

Back story:
At practice last week we played a game of chance, if you will. I split the team into 2 teams, each team got 14 envelopes, each envelope had an exercise +/- number of reps BUT (they couldn’t look inside). If their team scored, they could swap 1 of there envelopes for 1 of the other teams. (Meaning they are either adding to or subtracting from their workout)

This envelopes game challenged their decision making under pressure skill and forced effective communication as well as team unity. They learned to communicate calmer during high stress situations.
