Ever wonder how speech therapists measure language growth? One key tool is Mean Length of Utterance (MLU) - a simple but powerful way to track how a child’s sentences are developing over time! 💬

By looking at the average number of words or morphemes a child uses in their sentences, we can get a clear picture of their language stage and progress. Watching that MLU number grow means we’re seeing stronger, more complex communication skills take shape - one little sentence at a time ✨
