Dr. Adams has obtained the postgraduate designation of Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician® (CCSP®) by the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians™ (ACBSP™). The CCSP® certification requires the doctor to attend a minimum of 100 hours of a 120-hour postgraduate program. This instruction is specific to physical fitness and the evaluation and treatment of injuries encountered in sports. Following the completion of these hours, the doctor must then take and successfully pass a comprehensive written examination.

This training will aid the doctor in the prevention and treatment of athletic injuries by enhancing his diagnostic skills and patient care. The CCSP® certification exists to provide a uniform standard of education that assures teams and athletes that the doctor has met a minimum level of competency in chiropractic sports medicine.

Had a great time today at the Saturday Football event . We were demonstrating some of the soft tissue techniques we use every day. Thank you very much to for having us out and we can't wait to be back next month!

Soft tissue release is a hands-on therapy that is designed to reduce pain and restore function from an acute or chronic injury. This can be done for everything from low back pain to tennis elbow and plantar fasciitis, to name a few. Dr. Adams is full body certified in Active Release Technique (ART), one of the top soft tissue release programs.

Myofascial Cupping:

Cupping increases blood circulation at the point of the injury. The increased circulation can reduce tension and spasms, and can promote cellular repair through improved blood flow. Cupping is one of the many tools that we use at Kinetic Sorts Therapy to get you back out on the field.

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization(IASTM) is one of the many methods used at Kinetic Sports Therapy to speed up healing and get our clients back to their activities. IASTM is a treatment that uses specialized tools to manipulate the skin, fascia, muscles, and tendons by various direct compressive stroke techniques. IASTM introduces a controlled microtrauma which causes the stimulation of local inflammatory response. The microtrauma initiates reabsorption of inappropriate fibrosis or excessive scar tissue and facilitates a cascade of healing activities resulting in remodeling of affected soft tissue structures.

Dr. Adams is certified in both Graston Technique and Rockblades, two of the leading IASTM certifications.
