Patience during Software switch please!
We are sharing an important update with you regarding our transition to Epic, our new electronic health record system.
This is an exciting change for us and brings advancements that will enhance your overall patient experience and make it much easier for you to manage your patient care online. We know big technology changes can be difficult, and we are aware of delays as you try to reach your care team with clinical concerns and other needs.
As part of this transition, we are currently taking additional steps to validate your information in our new system, including your current prescriptions. This process takes time, and we are grateful for your continued patience.
If you have an urgent clinical need or a prescription that will run out in the next 3-5 business days:
Please call your provider’s office and let them know you have an urgent need or an immediate medication refill need.
If you have a prescription that you’ll run out of in the next two to three weeks, please request it now using one of these methods:
In your new MyChart patient portal:
First, thank you for signing up for MyChart! There are many useful features we’re excited for you to explore, and you can request medications through MyChart.
We know your medications may not be listed in your MyChart patient portal yet, but your care team has your full list. You can find instructions on how to request a prescription refill in MyChart and in our Epic Resource Center FAQ.
Please allow extra time for processing. You can expect your prescription to be processed within 5-7 days.
If you do not have a MyChart account:
Please continue to request prescriptions by calling your provider. If you need to find your provider’s contact information, you can search our Find a Provider tool at emoryhealthcare.org.
You may experience a delay in your call being answered, but one of our team members will be with you as soon as possible.
Please allow extra time for processing. You can expect your prescription to be processed within 5-7 days.
When you sign up for a MyChart account, you can request non-urgent refills without a phone call.
Your safety and well-being remain our number one priority.
