Health Equity International provides essential health and support services for people in need. Boniface Hospital, the largest healthcare provider in southern Haiti. We built this special place from the ground up, together with the community we serve. We designed every service to meet and evolve with our patients’ needs. Our doors are always open, and no one is ever turned away because they cannot pay. Here, medical professionals from across the country come to learn and expand their skills. And our community health programs help people get care without having to travel far. Health Equity International believes good health helps everyone reach their full potential. Through quality, dignified, compassionate services, we are building a healthier world.

Dezile and Rosemela are two very important residents of Kay Granmoun—they're 105 and 95 years old, respectively! What's Dezile's secret to a long life? He says, "To stay alive longer, you must respect god, have no flaws, and stay at home.”

We're proud to help provide a place for these two—and all of our residents—where they can feel safe and cared for in their later years.

Our post-op room is where patients recover after surgery. In 2025, our surgical team performed 3,433 procedures, more than half of which were emergency cases. As patients recover, we monitor them closely to ensure wounds heal, bones remain set, and infections don't develop.

We proudly hosted 53 social service residents at St. Boniface Hospital in 2025.

In Haiti, newly-minted clinicians must complete a year of service in a hospital affiliated with the Haitian Ministry of Health. St. Boniface Hospital is one of the most sought-after social service sites in the country because we see a wider array of patients than many other facilities. When residents leave St. Boniface, they take the skills they’ve learned to other hospitals across Haiti, elevating the level of care provided throughout the country.

Yesterday was ! In 2025, our dental team saw 2,967 patient visits and performed 1,499 cleanings, 318 extractions, 28 fillings, and more. Our team also visits local schools to teach kids about their oral health and how to take care of their teeth. Mèsi, ekip dantè!

At St. Boniface Hospital, we hold support groups for pregnant and postpartum women 2-3 times per month. A social worker, nurse midwife, or community health nurse facilitates each session. Topics include how to spot warning signs of gestational diabetes, how to prepare for childbirth, breastfeeding techniques, and more. With each session, we work to empower women with the knowledge they need to keep themselves and their babies healthy at every stage of pregnancy.

This little one is getting a standard eye exam in our outpatient clinic. When doctors use a small light to look at your eyes, they're checking for injuries or symptoms of neurological issues. Your pupil size, shape, and ability to focus near and far are just some of the ways doctors can uncover and treat many possible health issues.

Our new solar grid has had a tremendous impact on St. Boniface Hospital's long-term sustainability and energy independence. The grid has drastically reduced our use of expensive, hard-to-find fuel and noisy generators. Thank you to our friends at and for helping make it all possible!

Did you know every meal at St. Boniface Hospital is made from scratch? Our cooks buy all of their ingredients from nearby markets, which helps our local economy. Every meal they make is packed full of nutrition to help every patient regain their strength and heal.

A peek through our pharmacy window. Dozens of patients come here each day to fill—or refill—a prescription from their clinician. Our pharmacy team keeps everything impeccably organized and works hard to answer patients' questions and provide excellent service. At St. Boniface Hospital, every face in the window is someone who deserves to be well.
