Temperatures will drop sharply by mid afternoon into early evening with a passing cold front. As temperatures quickly drop below freezing this could cause any wet surfaces from earlier rainfall to freeze creating slippery and potentially hazardous travel conditions. Bitterly cold air settles in tonight and Friday morning with wind chills around zero to 15 below.

Be prepared for a cold evening

Be prepared for a cold evening

South to west winds could occasionally gust near 40 mph this morning. This afternoon a cold front will sweep through the area and will bring strong northwest winds gusting to 45 mph through this evening. These strong winds could foster brief bouts of poor visibility with any snow shower activity this afternoon and evening.
