Our last Certified Dementia Practitioner CDP class of the year was a tremendous success with over 20 participants yesterday. Thank you to everyone at McGregor Home for hosting us and providing lunch and refreshmebts for everyone.

Terry Hornikel, co-owner of Caring Services LLC and the instructor for the CDP classes lead a very lively and engaging class. She reminds everyone that Caring Services LLC offers customized dementia training for senior care providers. We also provide a complimentary class that can be incorporated into the monthly in-service training for local senior living providers. What a fun evening we had last night. Caring Services LLC was the cosponsor with Home instead of Northeast Ohio and the Ashton at Mayfield senior living of a special event. "Wreaths and Wine" brought together folks to create holiday wreaths for their own home, enjoy some wonderful appetizers and wine and even get CEUs. Melissa Schroeder and the team at The Ashton did an incredible job putting together the most delicious display of appetizers and treats. What a beautiful location for us too.
Everyone was so very impressed.

The team from Home Instead provided festive holiday treats and mocktails to enjoy.

Who knew that we had so many folks with an artistic flair? Thanks to all who attended.

So very grateful for the kind words of a family caregiver that I was able to assist. November is National Family Caregiver Month. Caregiving is a long journey. It’s often very difficult for family members to navigate resources and options for care. When we can help alleviate some of the anxiety and stress that family members often experience, it means everything to us at Caring Services LLC.

Caring Services LLC offers the national NCCDP training for those who wish to become a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP).  This one day class is ideal for anyone in nursing, caregiving, life enrichment/activities, therapy service, home health/hospice, clergy, and more. We’ve seen last year an increasing interest from businesses that deal with seniors to have their staff certified. Funeral home staff, senior real estate brokers, insurance representatives, bank staff, and more. to become a CDP, the applicaant must have one year of experience working with older adults. This crosses many different types of businesses.

Enjoyed a wonderful lunch today at the Twinsburg Ohio Senior Center. It was their 35th birthday celebration. Happy to partner with Home Instead Home Care of Cleveland to co-host. Special thanks to Laura Siefer, Community Engagement Manager for the warm welcome.

Grateful for the opportunity to partner with Valerie Murray of Home Instead. The guests today were so gracious and had some good questions about all of our services and programs. Sprenger Retirement/Grande Village provided a beautiful birthday cake that was enjoyed by all as they cheered on the The Guardians.
