The struggle is real, saying no and following through. This visual is a great way to understand the Conscious Discipline approach of DNA.

1. Describe: “Your face looks like this” (demonstrate the expression)
2. Name: “You look angry”(sad)
3. Acknowledge: “you really wanted a cookie right now.”

By providing the acknowledgment you a showing empathy and validating their feelings, even on something so simple as a cookie.

When you get hit with the “No” reaction ❤️

Kindergarten registration is open until next Friday, April 15. If your child turns 5 years old by August 1 of this year, make sure you register them for Kindergarten now.

You can find registration information on our website - www.lebanonschools.org - click on the link at the top of the page that says "registration."

Lebanon's kindergarteners attend school half day either in the morning or afternoon, which is determined by where you live. On our website you can look up whether your child would attend morning or afternoon kindergarten.

Registration requires filling out enrollment forms online followed by an in-person appointment.

We are excited to welcome the class of 2035 to our district!

Check out how everyday experiences can boost your child’s emotional health!

The recent safety concerns and ickiness with inappropriate content on Youtube Kids serve as a great reminder that while screen time when approached with intentionality and moderation is fine- a big drawback is that it threatens to pull kids away from the activities that are pivotal for healthy social and emotional development.

Sometimes we need a reminder to get back to the basics because REAL LIFE is the best place to learn how to live in REAL LIFE🙌🌎💗
