💗 Community in Action: Supporting Survivors Together 💗
This past week, our community showed up in the most beautiful way — we gathered diapers, wipes, and $310 in grocery gift cards for Prudence Crandall Center, Inc.. 🌸
For those who may not know, Prudence Crandall Center is a nonprofit based in New Britain that provides safe shelter, counseling, and advocacy for individuals and families affected by domestic violence. Their work helps survivors find safety, rebuild their lives, and take courageous steps toward independence.
With the suspension and now partial funding of SNAP benefits, many survivors are struggling to access food and basic essentials. These resources are vital to helping them stay safe and independent — because when food security is threatened, the courage to leave an unsafe situation can fade.
Thanks to the generosity of our clients and community, case workers at Prudence Crandall were able to feel that powerful reminder of community support — ask, and you shall receive. 💫
We’re continuing to collect:
🧷 Diapers (sizes 4, 5, and 6)
🧴 Wipes
🛒 Grocery gift cards ($25–$50) from Aldi, Stop & Shop, or Big Y
If you don’t have time to shop, I’ll gladly grab the items for you!
You can Venmo with the memo “Prudence – Grocery Cards” or “Prudence – Diapers/Wipes.”
Let’s keep this momentum going and do another big round-up — especially for diapers! Together, we can continue being the hands and hearts that hold our community together. 💕
