If you haven't heard, the CDC removed the milestone of crawling. However, that doesn't mean that crawling is no longer important. Crawling provides SO many benefits, you want your child to crawl.

Babies receive the greatest amount of benefits when the crawling on hands and knees in a cross lateral movement. Everything from hand-eye coordination, fine and gross motor skills, strength and balance.

When babies crawl using the cross lateral movements, that provides communication between both sides of the brain. Both sides are working together equally (the arms, legs, eyes, and ears). This leads to the development of binocular vision and bilateral coordination. As both sides continue to work together, it will enhance and give a developmental boost to future learning skills - reading, writing, problem solving skills.

There are just too many benefits that crawling provides to just skip over it or not deem it important.
