It was such a pleasure moving, breathing and rejuvenating with a beautiful, kind group - we invite all to join us for self care and connection at YOGAlicious Yoga Studio!

Members of AFL's women's affinity group, WeConnect, recently indulged in a rejuvenating yoga session at YOGAlicious Yoga Studio in Spartanburg, S.C. They were able to connect with new and old friends and left feeling refreshed, connected and empowered!

🤩 "It is in collectivities that we find reservoirs of hope and optimism." ~Angela Y. Davis

Please get to know our featured non profit of the month, Speaking Down Barriers!

"[They] are a team of listeners, healers, artists, researchers, teachers, theologians, & creatives who work together to offer encounters that transform our life together across human difference. Using spoken word poetry, transformative dialogue, workshops, and deep listening as tools, [they] are working with people, communities, organizations, & institutions to build an equitable world through healing & justice. Rather than our human differences of race, class, sexual orientation, gender, national identity, and religion act as sources of division, they can be the source of our collective strength."

Learn more about SDB, their mission, and how to get involved by checking out their website (speakdownbarriers.org/home.html)!

Also: Sign up SOON for Katy Corbin's Restorative Donation/Karma practice on Saturday, 2/18 from 11am-12:15pm (all donations will benefit SDB)!

A continued Happy New Year, Beautiful People!

A new year encourages reflection and mindfully choosing what does and does not accompany us going forward. Being in the healthy movement and living community in January can be interesting as the tendency for many is to focus on losing, specifically losing weight. And often it comes with a timeline of 30 days, 60 days, 90 days. Instead, may we suggest valuing all that there is to GAIN: insight, calm, clarity, perspective, strength, connection! Our health is not just about weight - it's the connection between your body, mind, heart and overall well-being. There's no timeline or end goal, ever. These first days of 2023, take notice of what brings you fulfillment and balance, especially how you want to connect with yourself and others. I'm looking forward to doing more of what makes me happy this year, and I wish the same to all of you!

See what a consistent yoga practice can mean to your overall well-being! Check out our 20 Class Pass $200 (available thru 1/31/23). New to the studio? Try our New Student Special to get your first month of a monthly unlimited pass for $60 (normally $120)!
