Please join us in welcoming Melissa Bogert, OD to our practice!
Dr. Bogert grew up in Charlotte, NC, and attended Appalachian State University, where she earned her bachelorâs degree in Psychology and a minor in Chemistry. She earned her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She then completed a residency in primary care at the Ralph H. Johnson VAMC in Charleston, SC with an emphasis in ocular disease, low vision, and fitting specialty contact lenses. During her residency, she was nominated for an ICARE award, which demonstrates the VAâs core values. She is a current member of the American Academy of Optometry and the American Optometric Association.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family. She also likes working out, hiking in the mountains, snowboarding, exploring specialty coffee shops, and baking.
