This page is transparently showing what a late in life (single) mom with an autoimmune does to make life SIMPLE while keeping up with the good things in life.

It has nothing to do with:
•eating AIP forever
•or that I’m special - because I’m not

And if you’ve followed my journey at all, you know that I did a lot of things for about 10 years that didn’t help me.

So what changed? My understanding of hashimotos.

Hashimotos is an autoimmune where your body is responding to inflammation from your body attacking your thyroid (and then other healthy tissues). There’s no medication for it but the best way to heal is to understand what is causing the attack (aka root cause) and heal the damage done by the attack and inflammation. That healing isn’t random supplements or cutting out a food or 2. It’s doing specific things to heal a very specific thing. Much like you would do things to heal a broken bone or target a certain type of cancer, hashimotos needs to be healed in a specific way.

So that’s what I did. So instead of taking a million supplements and under eating with AIP, I healed my body according to my root cause and inflammation damage. That’s when I lost the 100 lbs, I stopped struggling with fertility, I got off my thyroid meds, and I was able to live again.

Eating AIP and taking a handful of supplements is not a healing plan for Hashimoto’s.

Yes, it can lower inflammation.
Yes, it can help.

But food is usually the irritant - not the root cause.

If removing inflammatory foods and a handful of supplements was enough, you wouldn’t still be:
– Bloated
– Exhausted
– Struggling to lose weight
– Dealing with hormone chaos

The real question isn’t “Should I go gluten-free?”

It’s: Why is my immune system reactive in the first place?

Is it:
• H. pylori?
• Bacterial overgrowth?
• Leaky gut?
• Chronic stress?
• Viral reactivation?

Food & supplement changes can support healing.

But they rarely fix the deeper dysfunction.

One more time-

Your complete thyroid panel tells you one aspect of your hashimotos and hypothyroidism. But it doesn’t tell you:
▪️Your root cause
▪️Your inflammation damage
▪️What you need to heal
▪️How you need to heal

That’s wha function labs do for you. Your GI maps, your DUTCH test, OATS, SIBO, and other tests tell you your specific disruption and how it ties back to your thyroid panel

If your provider is only pulling your thyroid labs, or partial thyroid labs - that’s common. But that’s also part of the problem!

My recommendation is always going to be to understand your root cause + inflammation damage. Always. Then, and only then, can you create and customize your hashimotos healing plan.

Now before you come for me…AIP has a purpose.
▪️ It can help reduce inflammation
▪️ It can give your body a break
▪️ It can help you feel better temporarily

But here’s the problem:
▪️It doesn’t actually HEAL anything.

Because AIP doesn’t:
❌ identify your root cause
❌ fix what’s driving your inflammation
❌ address the damage already done in your body

So what happens? You:
→ cut foods
→ feel a little better
→ stay stuck in restriction
→ and never actually move forward

And let’s be honest…
▪️no one wants to eat like that forever

That’s not healing. That’s managing.
What actually changed everything for me was this:

▪️I stopped focusing on what to REMOVE
▪️and started focusing on what my body needed to HEAL

Based on:
✔ my root cause
✔ my inflammation
✔ and the specific damage in my body

That’s how I lost 100 lbs.
That’s how I got into remission.

And that’s why…
▪️ I don’t eat strict AIP anymore
▪️ I’m not fully gluten-free or dairy-free
▪️ and I have flexibility without symptoms

Because the goal isn’t restriction.

▪️It’s healing… and then building a sustainable lifestyle

If you’re stuck doing “everything right” and not seeing results… It’s probably not because you need to try harder.
▪️ It’s because you don’t have the right strategy.

I say that with a lot of love.
▪️Not to scare you.
▪️Not to pressure you.

But because I see what happens when people wait.

Hashimotos is progressive! That means it only gets worse! The longer inflammation is left unaddressed…
→ the more damage is done
→ the more systems become affected
→ and the harder (and longer) it takes to reverse

And most people aren’t doing “nothing” on purpose.

They’re:
→ overwhelmed
→ unsure what to do
→ or trying things that aren’t actually working

So they stay stuck. And I want to be really clear about something:

▫️I’m not saying you need to figure this all out overnight
▫️or go spend $10k working with a specialist

But doing something matters.

And more importantly… doing the right thing next matters

Because with Hashimoto’s, guessing can cost you time.

And time is what makes this harder.You don’t need a perfect plan today. But you do need:
▫️clarity on what’s actually going on in your body
▫️and what direction you should be moving in
