Yesterday's baby snuggles were everything. Mom had some tasks that she wanted to complete but had a hard time getting them done with baby in hand, so she asked me to stop by for a couple of hours.

As a doula that primarily focuses on out of hospital births, it is also important for me to have clearance at local hospitals in the event that a client needs to transfer, or is risked out of midwifery care.

Not all hospitals require birth doulas to have a badge but some do! Knowing that I am prepared to stay with my clients if their birth plans change, so they can remain supported, empowered, and informed.
