While I'm waiting for the internet tech person to properly set up the connection in the office, I am pretty thankful that I took the day off. Spoiler alert, they ain't here yet. πŸ€ͺ

I'm also taking the opportunity to TENS/e-stim the entirety of my upper right limb. Neck > shoulder > elbow > wrist, trying to help with a pinched nerve that is starting to numb out my thumb. I have acupuncture next week, plus switching to WFH; hopefully with less stress in general, there will be relief soon.

I barely won the fight against the post-turkey nap; I suppose that's what you get for eating dinner at 3:15pm. πŸ˜„ Somehow, I managed to drag myself off the couch for fifteen or so minutes of seated (and lying) asana in front of the TV and my body is so thankful.

I hope you've all had a good day and are able to maybe feel a little (or a lot) grateful for your life right now. πŸ’œ

Oh hai. How've you been for the past year or so?

Who knew that moving across the state and restarting your life could completely sidetrack your yoga practice, study and business? πŸ˜† As a lovely friend of mine likes to say: "sometimes it do be like that."

I'm not complaining, though. I'm just over here being thicc and happy and, finally, relocating my motivation. It happens to the best of us, right? There's so much happening in our lives/world/neighborhoods and it's honestly not that surprising when we get stuck in the changes (or patterns!) and overwhelmed.

It's obviously the season for getting cozy so I'll be cuddling with my laptop, finishing up my 300 hour training and slowly working my way back into a meaningful personal practice.

Hey friends,

The past two months have been a whirlwind as I prepared and then moved across the state! πŸ€ͺ

It's been A LOT but I've got an entire weird room to dedicate to a yoga/video studio and I'm excited for all of you to see the whole journey. πŸ›£

It is hot AF here and I am doing my best to survive without A/C, still. πŸ˜„ Make sure you're drinking water, replenishing your electrolytes and if you want to chill out even more, check out this gentle, slow yoga class designed to help cool you off. πŸ’¨

Each week, my body gets a little bit stronger. And thennnn, on Saturday it's enforcing extreme relaxation while I heal my sore and swollen parts (mostly my hands, at this point.) πŸ˜†

There's nothing wrong with taking a break - our bodies need time to recuperate when we increase our physical activity. PERIODT.

Monkey "helped" with this a lot today by laying down and getting comfortable anytime I sat on the couch. πŸ˜‰

Now, I'm finishing up tidying my own place for the day and enjoying some really uplifting reality TV.

How are you making your way through the weekend? Do you have that sunny days style energy or are you using the weekend to rest up?

Oof, while transitioning and getting ready to move across the state I'm working a very physically demanding job as a house cleaner. Everyday, I'm in pain (whether it be from carrying equipment or knocking body parts against said equipment/furniture,) and I've increased my hours, so I'm away from home 10+ hours a day at this point.

Thankfully, my mom is handling the bulk of the challenge of finding a new place. After long, physical hours it is hard to find motivation for asana and I've felt a little stuck, which can be difficult to process as a "yoga teacher."

I've been leaning into meditation quite a bit for mental peace, overall energy and better sleep so I can stay in the present and not get overwhelmed. I have over 6k guided meditations bookmarked (FREE on Insight Timer ) so if you ever need a specific suggestion about something that stressing you out, I've got you covered. HMU anytime!

Here's some pics of the past few weeks for the algorithms.

ACK! I am so excited! This is not a joke. πŸ˜„

The Universe has taught me a lot of things this year, one being that when crappy things happen it could actually be making room for better things. I’ve had such a great opportunity to devote my time to focus on being a yoga teacher and getting some really fun parts of the future rolling.

One of them is this program!

I’ve met so many wonderful people who are busy, stressed out, anxious and are finding it hard to muster up the motivation to do things to take care of themselves. It’s not like it’s rare these days - real life is really hard.

I want to show you that:

-You don’t have to be β€œgood” at yoga and you can start anytime
-You can reduce stress and anxiety on and off the mat
-It doesn’t take giving up all your free time (though you DO deserve to take time for yourself)
-You can appreciate your body
-A simple and sustainable yoga practice can swiftly improve your reality

As my gift to you, the first week is free - I want you to have an opportunity to poke around! Get ready to create habits that will benefit your real life while you develop strength and flexibility in your body and mind.

Getting feedback like this warms my little heart!

The yoga classes I offer are all created with the hope that my students can leave feeling stronger and calmer, inside and out.

Tomorrow, I am opening up my brand new membership program for just $25/month (or $250/year) and because I really hope you will join us, the first week is FREE!

I am creating a simple and progressive guided yoga and mindfulness program to help build motivation and create healthy habits to feel better in your body, mind and *your real life.*

Each week you'll receive two new recorded classes and a short audio meditation designed to help you start seeing results quickly, both on and off the mat.

This package also includes access to live video classes, the growing online library and special members-only Q&A/support sessions!

Only the awesome folks who sign up the first week will receive this low price and they can keep it for the lifetime of their membership. After April 8th, the monthly price will go up to $33 and $330 for the year, which is still a screaming deal compared to many of today's fitness programs.

Do you have questions? Thoughts? Suggestions? Want to make sure you are one of the founding members? DM me anytime!
