To explore healthy boundaries and what they can look like in your relationships, I have telehealth openings available. https://www.psychologytoday.com/profile/1676425

Most people think boundaries are about building walls or shutting people out. But healthy boundaries sound nothing like that.

They sound like "I'm not available to talk right now, can we reconnect tomorrow?" They sound like "I need to think about that before I give you an answer." They sound like "I can help with this but I can't take that on right now."

Boundaries aren't ultimatums. They're honest communication about what you need and what you're able to give. They protect the relationship as much as they protect you.

And when someone receives them well, that tells you something important about whether this relationship is safe.

So much of our stress comes from holding tightly to things we were never meant to carry. We can't control the past, the opinion of others, or the outcome of every effort. But we CAN shoose where we place our energy, how we speak to ourselves, and the boundaries that protect our peace. If you are interested in exploring or processing this further, I have telehealth appointments available. https://www.psychologytoday.com/profile/1676425

Sometimes remedies for the things that hold us back are quick and easy. But, sometimes the things that hold us back need to be processed on a deeper level in order for us to grow in our understanding of ourselves and, ultimately, to overcome. If you are interested in taking the first step, I have telehealth appointments available and would love to talk with you. https://www.psychologytoday.com/profile/1676425

One of the protective factors to good mental health is good social support which can come in the form of family, friends, a pastor, or, yes, even a therapist. While there are some similarities to talking with a friend and talking with a therapist, there are some distinct differences as well. If you are interested in getting started with therapy, I have telehealth appointments available. https://www.psychologytoday.com/profile/1676425

In our journey through life, we encounter situations that are difficult to navigate, be it a new challenge that takes us by surprise or an old emotional wound or trauma that requires healing. Sometimes, we need a place to share our thoughts, feelings, and experiences freely and receive guidance and support to help us overcome these difficulties and gain greater hope for our healing, growth, and future. This is where the counseling process comes in.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I use a strengths-based, client-centered approach and a variety of theories and techniques designed to meet the individual needs of each client. Additionally, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Brainspotting and am a recognized Smart Stepfamily Therapy Provider.

You do not have to face life’s struggles alone. I want to come alongside you to help you work through and overcome the challenges you are facing in a safe, supportive environment that allows you to be seen, heard, accepted, and understood - an environment that leads you to overcome and find resolution in order to live the life that you were meant to live.
