What you think you see… isn’t always what is.
Your mind is a storyteller.
It gathers fragments from your past—memories, patterns, expectations—and quietly lays them over the present moment like a filter. So when you saw “water,” your brain didn’t pause to question it… it recognized a familiar pattern and said, I know this story.
But it wasn’t truth.
It was memory… dressed up as reality.
This is how we move through life more often than we realize—
not seeing what’s actually in front of us,
but what we’ve been trained to expect.
The same thing happens beyond the eyes…
In relationships.
In healing.
In fear.
In love.
We assume someone will hurt us—because someone once did.
We believe something won’t work—because it didn’t before.
We see limits—where there may be none at all.
But reality… is always fresh.
It is not bound to your past unless you hand it the script.
So the real question becomes—
Are you seeing clearly…
or are you seeing through memory?
Sometimes awakening isn’t about learning something new…
it’s about gently questioning what you were so sure was true.
Because even “flowing water”…
can just be paper, waiting for you to look again.
