I was recently on a flight and the pilot came overhead, stated we would be flying at 30,000 feet. What?! I knew this had to be an error because I have been researching flight paths across the US. This pilot should know it would be best to fly at 18,000 feet. So I had him come over so I could explain to him why he was wrong to choose this altitude. Shockingly, he didn’t agree and tried to use his education and experience as a pilot to dispute my thorough research. Of course! What an elitist to use his education and training in rebuttal of my Google search. I kindly pointed out how his training was funded by the FAA and they profit off of commercial flights. FOLLOW 👏🏻THE👏🏻MONEY. As I started to explain how he was just a sheep and he needed to start learning from those of us who have googled ideas that confirm our own bias, we suddenly hit quite a bit of turbulence. At this point he went back to the cockpit and I allowed him to save all of our lives without questioning his methods, I mean he IS the pilot.

But now that I am safely back on the ground, I had to take to social media to make others aware of the sheep that are piloting our planes. The FAA funded education, the elitist belief that their experience is more valuable then my internet research. It’s just too much, it must be stopped!

New day, same N95 face marks. I work in an area with one of the lowest COVID vaccine rates in the nation, and subsequently a high rate of COVID infections. The hospitals are past capacity and it will only get worse after this holiday weekend. We are officially at the point where this doesn’t have to be our new normal, go get your vaccine!

Johnson & Johnson data is summarized on the blog now! J&J was granted EUA last Saturday. It is the first one shot COVID19 vaccine and it’s use is for adults 18 and older. J&J has an ongoing trial looking at a 2 shot regimen, but the one shot protection is what is need to get herd immunity as fast as possible. It also is more realistic for the pediatric population in the future!

This was one year ago, when we knew NOTHING and it was scary just to walk inside the hospital! But today, a third COVID19 vaccine was approved for EUA. Not only is the Johnson & Johnson vaccine the third to get emergency use, it is the first vaccine to be approved for single dose!
The vaccine is approved for adults 18 and over and shipments of the vaccine will start Monday!
For those still waiting, head to your local health dept website to find out how to sign up for the vaccine waitlist. There are also times where vaccines will be expiring and need to be used, they give these on first come basis. Hospitals in your area may also be offering their own waiting lists that you can sign up to be on.
