One Year Apart — Same Woman, Stronger Warrior
⏰ Left: A year ago (a woman fighting hard and surviving with everything she had)
⏰ Right: Now (35–40 lbs down, dairy-free, gluten-free, Main street Wellness supplements, mindset work, therapy, EMDR starting, and a whole lot of fighting through the hard stuff)
Some days… moving through life feels like wading through cement.
You try. You push. You show up.
And somehow it still feels like nothing makes a difference.
It’s like every time you take one step forward, something comes out of nowhere and drags you three steps back. And you start to wonder if anything you’re doing is “enough,” if you are enough, or if you’re just running in circles while life keeps swinging.
Someone recently asked me, “Why Warrior Mentality? What does that even mean?”
And honestly… it’s because life will make you fight whether you want to or not.
You don’t get to opt out of hardship.
You don’t get to choose whether the world wounds you.
From the moment you’re born, you enter the arena — life, trauma, grief, failure, disappointment, health struggles, mental battles — all of it.
We see it everywhere. People are on edge, angry, bitter, ready to snap over anything. People are ready to fight… but not many are Warriors.
Warrior Mentality was something we chose because pain shaped a lot of our story. We’ve been beaten down. We’ve been exhausted. We’ve been wounded. And we didn’t want to live bitter — we wanted to live better.
We didn’t want to stop growing — we wanted to rise.
We didn’t want to be dragged to the grave early by stress, trauma, addiction, and pain — we wanted to learn how to breathe again. How to bend without breaking. How to keep going when everything in us screamed “stop.”
The “mentality” part… that’s the part people don’t talk about enough.
It’s not about a quick flip-the-switch transformation.
It’s not “I changed my life in 6 months and now everything’s perfect.”
Sometimes you try to change and your body fights you.
Sometimes mental health struggle storms through your mind and knocks you flat.
Sometimes the waves hit so hard and so close together that you barely catch a breath before the next one slams you down.
That is where Warrior Mentality is forged.
Not in the clean, pretty, inspirational-montage moments.
But in the years-long battles.
In the sleepless nights and shaky mornings.
In the sore muscles and the stormy mind.
In the “I’m trying” and the “I don’t know if it’s working.”
In the setbacks that feel personal even when they aren’t.
In the moments you feel like you’re losing, but you refuse to quit.
A Warrior doesn’t win every day.
A Warrior doesn’t always feel strong.
A Warrior sometimes takes one step forward and two steps back.
But a Warrior keeps stepping.
Keeps breathing.
Keeps rising, even if it’s slow, even if it’s messy, even if it hurts.
Warrior Mentality is the choice — over and over again — to keep becoming.
To let your mind adapt, bend, and strengthen under the weight of everything you carry.
To refuse bitterness.
To refuse to stay small.
To refuse to be the wounded version of yourself forever.
It’s not about perfection.
It’s not about speed.
It’s not about doing everything right.
It’s about courage in the long game.
It’s about becoming your own safe place.
It’s about fighting for your future self, even when your present self is tired.
And if you’re in that place right now —
If life feels heavy, or slow, or impossible —
Well thats why I’m sharing these photos.
Not to say “look at this perfect transformation,” because this isn’t perfect. This is progress. This is a year of tiny steps, messy days, a loud mind, painful trauma, supplements, inflammation, battles, diet changes, tears, failure and trying again, and refusing to quit — even when it felt pointless.
This is what one year of choosing yourself looks like.
Slow. Real. Human.
If you’re in the thick of it too… please hear this:
You are not too slow.
You are not too broken.
You are not falling behind.
Every shaky step counts.
Every setback you recover from matters.
Every day you try again is proof of the warrior inside you.
And you’ve got more Warrior in you than you know yet. ❤️✨
