Happy Year of the Horse! 新年快乐!

Thank you to Newton Housing Authority for inviting us to their annual Lunar New Year Celebration. We celebrated with good food and saw many talented cultural performances. It was a wonderful event where we met local leaders, including of Newton MA - Mayor's Office Mayor Laredo, as well as local residents.

We're grateful to be part of such a vibrant community in Newton and the MetroWest area, and we look forward to many more celebrations together!

For American Heart Month, we recommend the DASH (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) eating plan for a heart-healthy eating style.

The DASH plan requires no special foods and instead provides daily and weekly nutritional goals. This plan recommends:

1. Eating vegetables, fruits, and whole grains
2. Including fat-free or low-fat dairy products, fish, poultry, beans, nuts, and vegetable oils
3. Limiting foods that are high in saturated fat, such as fatty meats, full-fat dairy products, and tropical oils such as coconut, palm kernel, and palm oils
4. Limiting sugar-sweetened beverages and sweets

Serenity Care PACE partnered with Covenant House, where our clinical team administered flu shots to help keep our participants healthy this season💉🍂

We also presented on healthy facial exercises, sharing simple techniques to support relaxation, reduce tension, and promote overall wellness.

At Serenity Care PACE, we’re committed to bringing compassionate, preventive care where it’s needed most. Thank you to Covenant House for welcoming us and to our participants for taking proactive steps toward better health! 💙

Serenity Care PACE had the pleasure of hosting an Ice Cream Social for the wonderful residents at Sarawood Assisted Living! 🍦✨

It was a joyful afternoon filled with smiles, laughter, and everyone’s favorite toppings. We always love spending time connecting with the community and bringing a little extra sweetness to the day. 💛
