Podcast Poll Question:

Ask Katie Anything!
Katie has dedicated her life to helping others who struggle with addiction. Ask her anything about her experience in the field!

She also recently opened Recover & Thrive Health Services, LLC, providing MAT and recovery support services to individuals seeking help with substance use disorder. Medication assisted treatment often gets a bad rap, but the data shows that overdose risk decreases and an individual’s quality of life improves as a result of the treatment. Why are there mixed reviews/emotions on MAT treatment and what can a provider do to make sure it’s used in a safe and effective way?

While Althea Sickel was away, Kendall Neal & Meagan Smith Williamson were left unsupervised in the podcast studio…and thus, this masterpiece episode was recorded! 😜🤩👏

In all seriousness, treatment courts get compared to probation all the time so we thought it was really important to do an episode that helps folks understand how the two are similar but also how they are different! Both are vital to public safety & help so many people turn their lives around, and thankfully we have fantastic probation offices/officers in the Robertson County community (and we are big fans of the Robertson County Recovery Court too) 😉

Like & share the episode & follow our page (please and thank you)! 🫶

In all seriousness, life gets hectic for everyone and on this episode we talked about the importance of structure while a person is navigating early recovery but we walked away realizing how important structure is for ALL OF US! 💯
