You worked hard to find treatment.
You showed up. You pushed through. You started to feel better.
But here’s the part most people don’t expect…
👉 Treatment builds progress. Aftercare makes it last.
Without support after treatment, it’s easy for:
• symptoms to creep back in
• routines to fall off
• progress to slowly fade
Not because you did anything wrong—
but because your brain is still learning how to function in real life again.
That’s why aftercare matters.
It’s where you:
• reinforce the progress you made
• rebuild confidence in daily life
• create consistency so your results actually stick

You hit your head.
You got checked out.
You had a scan.

And the results came back normal.

So why do you still have headaches, brain fog, or dizziness?

Because concussions usually affect brain function, not brain structure.

Which means traditional imaging often won’t show the problem.

That’s why real-time, in-depth functional evaluations are important to truly understand what’s going on and guide effective treatment.

If you’re dealing with lingering concussion symptoms and need help figuring out the next steps, let’s chat.

You’re not imagining it.

Concussion doesn’t show up on typical scans.

There’s no cast, no bruise, no obvious sign. Just a hit, a fall, or a hard stop... and then something feels off.

The headaches. The fog. The exhaustion that doesn’t match how much you slept. The irritability you can’t explain.

This is why concussion is called the invisible injury — and it’s also why it’s the most underdiagnosed injury there is. Up to 50% of concussions go completely unreported.

Not because they aren’t real.

Because you can’t see them.

This Brain Injury Awareness Month, we’re talking about the injuries that don’t show up on imaging but show up in your life every single day.

If you’ve been dismissed, misunderstood, or told to just push through — that’s not weakness. That’s what happens when an injury is invisible.

We see you — whether you’re recovering from a concussion, a stroke, or anything in between. 🧠💙

There’s a lot of confusion around brain injury terminology.

Here’s a quick breakdown:
Concussion — a mild traumatic brain injury caused by a bump, blow, or jolt to the head that temporarily disrupts normal brain function. And yes, mild doesn’t mean minor.

mTBI (mild Traumatic Brain Injury) — the clinical term for a concussion. Same thing, fancier name.

MTBI (Moderate Traumatic Brain Injury) — a step up in severity, typically involving longer loss of consciousness and a more extended recovery.

sTBI (severe Traumatic Brain Injury) — a more serious injury with significant, often long-lasting effects on brain function.

Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) — any brain injury occurring after birth, whether from trauma like a fall, or non-traumatic causes like stroke or oxygen deprivation.

Post-Concussion Syndrome/Symptoms (PCS) — when concussion symptoms linger beyond the expected recovery window. You’re not imagining it. It’s real, and it’s treatable.

We are gearing up for Brain Injury Awareness month in March.

And before it officially begins, we wanted to say

We see you.

We see the person who looks fine on the outside but is quietly battling headaches, brain fog, exhaustion, and emotional overwhelm and more every single day.

We see the one who has been told their scans are normal— but nothing feels normal.

We see the one who has stopped explaining how they feel because nobody seems to understand.

You are not making it up. Your brain is injured. And real recovery is possible. ❤️🧠💪
