✨ Black History Spotlight: Mark Edward Dean ✨

Did you know a Black engineer helped shape the modern computer as we know it?

Mark Edward Dean is a legendary inventor and computer scientist who played a major role in developing the technology behind the personal computer (PC). He was part of the team at IBM that helped create the IBM PC, and he holds multiple patents that helped computers become faster, smarter, and more powerful.

One of his biggest contributions was helping develop the ISA bus, a key system that allowed computers to connect to devices like printers, keyboards, and disk drives — basically making computers more usable for everyday people.

Mark Dean is proof that Black excellence has always been at the heart of innovation and technology. 💻🔥

What’s up ! Do you recognize this man? His name is James West. He is an inventor and acoustician. The microphone technology he co-invented is literally
EVERYWHERE! His inventions are used in cellphones, laptops, baby monitors and hearing aids.
Dr. West is a renowned expert in acoustics. He holds 47 U.S. patents and more than 200 foreign. Not surprisingly, he is a member of the National Inventors Hall of Fame and winner of the National Medal of Technology. Pretty cool huh?!
