This month I celebrate 5 years as Flamewood Artisan!! I took a leap of faith in (2020) when I decided to leave my job and start my life long dream of having my own art-based business. I recently ran some stats and discovered I have created over 1,500 pieces of art, had over 800 Etsy orders and shipped to 48 states!! That is A LOT of wood burned by hand custom portraits and personalized gifts. Let’s celebrate by having my biggest sale, 15% off, beginning today, September 28 - October 5. This is the perfect time to jumpstart holiday shopping! I will not have another sale this big in 2025.

I think my favorite dogs to wood burn are these curly haired cuties! There’s just something special about the long flowing ears and curls that go in every direction. All dog portraits wood burned by hand, no machine laser engraving.

I don’t often wood burn human portraits because they are so labor intensive and just plain hard! But when asked by a client to create this memorial portrait, it was hard to say no. Hopefully it will bring comfort and special memories to his family.
