We’re honored to have so many of our products on the shelves at this incredible local hub in Alamosa, CO! 💚 is more than a shop — it’s a gathering place for herbal goodness, community, and local makers. From hand-grown San Luis Valley herbs and locally sourced organic produce to custom tea blends, artisan goods, tinctures, natural skin care, and more, they’re cultivating wellness and connection here in the heart of the Valley. 🏔️ ✨🌿

They’ve also got a lineup of hands-on herbal workshops coming up that are well worth checking out — including fire cider making, a deep dive into aphrodisiac herbs, and a salve-making workshop (we’re especially excited to be hosting that one!). PS - these have been filling up fast - be sure to RSVP to save your spot! 🍵

We’re proud to be collaborating with SLV Apothecary in so many different ways to help bring herbal medicine, education, and community-rooted wellness to the San Luis Valley. 🌿🙏💗

“Work is love made visible.” — Khalil Gibran

Boxes full of samples, long emails, careful conversations, and a lot of belief in what we’re building.
This is the behind-the-scenes work of bringing forest-grown medicine into new spaces — tending relationships, not rushing outcomes.
Here’s to planting well and letting 2026 grow strong. 🌲✨

From in-depth printed handouts and anatomy references to take-home herbal steam blends and jars of herbs for in-class use—our workshops are designed to be immersive, tactile, and deeply resourced.

We believe learning herbal medicine should be accessible, engaging, & enjoyable: plenty to read, touch, smell, ask questions about, and take home with you. If you’ve been curious about Ecozoica Apothecary classes, this is the kind of hands-on experience you can expect.

More workshops coming soon to retailers throughout southern Colorado! Click our link in bio to check them out & snag a spot. ✨🌱

✨ NEW RELEASE ✨
Lymph Lift — Daily Lymphatic Massage Oil

Meet our newest ritual oil—crafted to support slow, intentional lymphatic massage rituals and help restore the body’s natural flow. 🔥

Lymph Lift is a purpose-built botanical oil, made with nothing but solar-infused herbs and nourishing carrier oils. No essential oils. No fillers. No synthetics. Just plants, hands, and gentle heat.

🌿 What it’s for
Designed for gentle lymphatic massage, post–dry brushing rituals, and moments of intentional self-care. Light pressure. Upward strokes. Slow presence.

🌿 What’s inside (and why)
• Cleavers — traditionally associated with lymphatic movement and fluid flow
• Calendula — a classic herbal ally for restoring balance and tissue harmony
• Mugwort — grounding and liminal; supports embodied awareness and release
• Juniper Berry — warming, clarifying, and historically linked to movement and purification

These herbs are slowly infused into a blend of jojoba and castor oil, creating a smooth, grounding glide that invites softness and flow.

🌿 How to use
Apply a small amount to skin and massage gently using light pressure and upward strokes. Especially lovely after dry brushing or as a daily ritual to reconnect with the body.

Crafted off-grid in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains from ethically wildcrafted and organically grown herbs. 🌞

Usnea — Lungs of the Forest 🌲🧘‍♀️💫
An ancient medicine for a modern world.

Hanging in pale green strands from the branches of old trees, Usnea moves slowly through time.
Older than cities. Older than industry.

Often called Old Man’s Beard, Usnea is a lichen—
not a plant, but a partnership.
Fungus and algae living in quiet cooperation, photosynthesizing clean air into medicine. 🌿✨

Usnea does not tolerate pollution.
It grows only where the air is clear, the forests intact. 🌲
Its presence is a message: this place is still alive.

For thousands of years, humans have listened.

Across cultures and continents, Usnea has been used as a powerful ally for infection and inflammation—
to disinfect wounds on ancient battlefields,
to soothe lungs thick with sickness,
to cool heat, clear phlegm, and support the body’s innate intelligence to heal.

Energetically, Usnea is cooling, drying, and cleansing—
a remedy for heat, toxicity, and stagnation.
It carries a particular affinity for the lungs, skin, and lymph,
and works not by force, but by quiet interruption—
slowing the metabolism of harmful bacteria while leaving the body’s own cells undisturbed.

Modern science now echoes what traditional medicine has long known:
Usnea’s signature compound, usnic acid, offers potent antimicrobial support—
especially for common wound and respiratory pathogens—
while its polysaccharides gently wake the immune system from within.

But Usnea also teaches restraint.

It grows slowly.
It disappears quickly when forests are fragmented or air is poisoned.
Its medicine asks us to question the story we’ve been told—
that more roads, more extraction, more speed equals “better.”

At Ecozoica Apothecary, we work with Usnea not as a resource to be taken,
but as a relationship to be honored.

We feature this forest lichen in our wound wash and select formulations
as a reminder that true medicine is inseparable from ecology—
and that healing the body cannot be separated from healing the land.

Usnea asks us to slow down.
To breathe deeper.
To remember that the most powerful medicines often grow where progress has not yet arrived. 🧘‍♀️

As the calendar year draws to a close, all that comes to mind is WOW — and thank you. 💗

Though we’ve been tending this vision quietly and part-time for years, this past turn around the sun marked Ecozoica Apothecary’s true emergence into the world — in its full-fledged, soil-under-the-fingernails, market-booth-to-mountain-workshop form. ✨

From long days of wildcrafting and late nights of making, to first markets, new community connections, and watching these offerings land in your hands and homes — this year has been nothing short of humbling and expansive.

What a year. What a learning curve. What a gift. 🌿
We’re deeply grateful for every ounce of support, curiosity, encouragement, and shared love for the plants.

Looking ahead with grounded hearts and bright eyes at all that’s still unfolding. 💫

For the hands that work the land. 🏜️ 🏔️

This one’s for ranchers pulling fence, farmers mending wire, gardeners digging deep, mechanics, builders, and anyone whose hands regularly meet splinters, thorns, burrs, or the occasional mystery puncture. 🙌

Our Pinekeeper’s Piñon Drawing Salve is our go-to remedy when something doesn’t belong in the skin and needs help finding its way out. 🌱

At its heart is wildcrafted piñon pine resin, gathered respectfully from the forests we live and work in. When a pine is wounded, it releases resin to seal, protect, and prevent infection. That same intelligence is what makes resin such a powerful ally for human skin. 🌲

We pair that living resin with:
• Bentonite clay — a volcanic mineral known for binding and lifting impurities
• Activated charcoal — deeply adsorptive, helping trap debris and unwanted matter

Together, they create a traditional drawing action that supports the body’s own response to splinters, minor infections, and stubborn irritations. ✨🌿

The base matters too. We solar-infuse the resin into jojoba oil (a liquid wax that closely mirrors the skin’s own sebum), then blend it with beeswax and shea butter so it stays breathable—not occlusive—while it works. ✨🫶

A forest-born essential oil blend of pine, cedarwood, tea tree, rosemary, frankincense, and myrrh adds antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory oomph, plus that unmistakable scent of standing in the trees after a long day outside. 🏕️

This is everyday practical medicine.
A jar you keep in the barn, the truck, the tool bag, or the garden shed—because the land gives, and sometimes it takes a little skin with it.

🌲 Handcrafted in small batches
🌲 Solar-infused herbal oils
🌲 Packaged in a reusable amber glass jar
