Fresh batch of Piñon Pinekeeper’s Drawing Salve 🌲

Yes… the little pinecones on top are undeniably adorable.
But they’re not just there for looks.

At the heart of Ecozoica is something deeper than making high-quality, wildcrafted herbal products—it’s about reconnecting people with the plants themselves.

There’s a quiet but powerful shift that happens when you meet the plant you’re using as medicine. When you smell the resin on your fingers, notice the shape of a cone, or learn the landscape it calls home—it stops being just an ingredient, and becomes a relationship.

In many traditional healing systems—from Amazonian plant dietas to folk herbalism across Europe and North America—healing wasn’t just about taking a remedy. It was about engaging with the plant as a teacher, a presence, a living ally.

That’s the thread I’m always trying to weave back in.

Through workshops, plant walks, writing… and yes, even placing a tiny pinecone on top of a salve jar.

A small invitation to remember the tree behind the medicine 🌲✨

🌿✨ Vendor Spotlight: Ecozoica Apothecary ✨🌿

We’re honored to welcome Ecozoica Apothecary to 🌿 🌸 Roots & Renewal Faire 🌸 🌿 on Saturday, March 21 🌱

Ecozoica is an off-grid herbal operation rooted in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of southern Colorado, stewarding an 11-acre homestead and crafting small-batch plant medicines using solar power, local materials, and a deep ethic of ecological reciprocity.

The work is guided by bioregional herbalism — honoring the traditional uses of native plants while actively caring for the ecosystems those plants come from.

Every product begins in relationship:
🌿 Slow, ethical wildcrafting
🌱 Long, intentional herbal infusions
🌎 A commitment to keeping plant communities thriving for generations

At Roots & Renewal, Ecozoica will also be bringing props and tools that demonstrate how herbal medicine was traditionally made, offering a glimpse into the old-fashioned methods behind the process — from plant preparation to slow herbal infusions.

You’ll also find a wide range of botanical offerings including:

🌿 Herbal first aid kits for outdoor adventurers
🌼 Healing salves and herbal liniments
🌱 Botanical body care and hydrosol-based hair care
🌸 Tinctures, elixirs, infused honeys, and herbal tonics
🐾 Herbal pet care products

Ecozoica’s work reflects something we care deeply about at Open Circle — plant medicine rooted in place, stewardship, and relationship with the land.

Now open for the 2026 season!

Little Bear Trading Post is a one-stop shop for unique artisan goods, camping gear, survival foods, Native American jewelry and textiles, handmade wood carvings, local honey, soaps, lotions, fresh baked goods, herbal offerings from Ecozoica Apothecary, and so much more you truly have to see in person to take it all in. ✨🤗🏔️

This year features a newly expanded lineup of Ecozoica’s popular plant medicines, including our best-selling muscle balms, skin salves, liniments, raw osha root, and tincture blends.🍵🌱

We’re incredibly grateful to be part of this special shop, which has become a standout stop in Fort Garland, Colorado. Owners Ed & Toni have created a warm, welcoming space filled with thoughtfully curated goods from local makers, and they’re passionate supporters of Native American artists and craftspeople, helping showcase and uplift their beautiful work.

Whether you’re searching for a one-of-a-kind gift, stocking up on camping and survival supplies, or grabbing a box of their famous Amish-baked cinnamon rolls for the road, Little Bear Trading Post is always worth the stop. 🙌🫶

We’re honored to share that you can now find a selection of Ecozoica Apothecary offerings at the recently opened in Old Colorado City, Colorado Springs. ✨💗🌿

Mostly Zen was created by Amy and Tim as the realization of a long-held dream: a space that feels warm, safe, and deeply human—a place where people can slow down, feel seen, and simply be. After decades spent supporting others through recovery work, mental health care, military life, and major life transitions, they set out to create an environment rooted in compassion, mindfulness, and genuine connection. 🧘‍♀️☕️

The shop is a thoughtfully curated collection of goods from local artists and makers, grounded in a calm, earthy aesthetic that invites you to pause and breathe. Tucked within the space is a quiet gathering room open for reflection, conversation, or simply a moment of stillness—and also used by wellness practitioners offering private sessions and coaching. 💗

The spirit of Mostly Zen—their commitment to community, creativity, and spaces of healing—aligns beautifully with the heart of Ecozoica. We’re honored to have our plant medicines included among the offerings in such an intentional and welcoming space. 🪴🙏

If you’re in Colorado Springs, stop in and experience it for yourself! 🏔️🤗

Ecozoica’s first Monte Vista Crane Festival is in the books! 🏔️ ✨💗

What an incredible whirlwind weekend of birds, friends, and art in every form. A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello, purchase a product, or simply hang out and goof off in front of my booth. It truly meant the world to have so many friends swing by with support, food, companionship, and laughter. 🥰🌿💪

Those who know me well know that while I absolutely adore the plant medicine–making side of this business, marathon vending weekends like these can definitely push my limits. But you all didn’t just make it bearable—you made it fun. 😜

A big shout-out as well to all the event organizers and volunteers who made the Monte Vista Crane Festival possible. What a special gathering for this community💗.
