Arise Equine Therapy Foundation has reached the 10 year mark in 2025! The program was a vision by Fran Natoli Director, ES that came to fruition when Terri Roche PhD, LCSW and Caryn Mundell ES , special educator joined to begin serving clients. 2015 was a busy year preparing by gaining certifications through eagala, forming a 501(c)3, presenting at the eagala national conference along with countless presentations & networking to educate about Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. The program has grown over the years to include Growth and Learning for younger children, a thriving Veterans program, serving at risk youth, group workshops, equine assisted EMDR and countless individual, couples and family sessions. Arise currently has five therapists and four equine specialists certified in a number of EAP models. Arise holds the eagala Military Services Designation as a program , along with four practitioners as individuals with this designation. Thank you to all our supporters who make this program possible.

Horses and Healing

Throughout history, horses have been along side with humans. They faithfully served in countless capacities prior to the industrial revolution. Horses today are prized for sport and recreation purposes and perhaps their most important role as the catalyst for Healing.

Arise Equine Therapy Foundation is a 501 (c)3 non profit Providing Equine Assisted Growth and Learning in St Charles County. Our Founder, while working as a therapeutic riding instructor witnessed the benefits participants achieved in their physical health, but their was more growth happening, emotional and behavioral learning. Fascinated by the transformation individuals were experiencing Arise Equine Therapy was formed in 2011 to focus on the personal development that is gained through EAP (Equine Assisted Psychotherapy).

Rising above life’s challenges is attainable. Engaging in Equine Assisted Growth and Learning is a proven, highly successful treatment for individuals, families and groups. Adults and youth have overcome challenges through their experiences with the horses and the professional team guiding them to their solutions.
