Pathways to Mindfulness Our objective is to assist those who are interested in cultivating the practice of mindfulness as a way of freeing their minds from negativity and stress.

Bridget teaches mindfulness meditation as a spiritual practice and as a tool for stress reduction. She holds an MA in Theology and a BS in Occupational Therapy. She has practiced insight meditation since 1997. Recognized by the Spirit Rock Teachers Council as a Community Dharma Leader, she co-leads the St. Louis Insight Meditation Group, facilitating the weekly meditation group, teaching classes and workshops, and leading retreats. As Vice-president of Mid America Dharma she has been instrumental in bringing nationally known dharma teachers to the Midwest to teach and has managed numerous retreats for the organization. Bridget has trained in mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) through the University of Massachusetts Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health-Care and Society and has taught MBSR in Missouri and Illinois since 2005. She is program facilitator forMasterpeace Studios' Mind-Body Stress Reduction Program (MBSR) in Crestwood, MO, and the Mind-Body Skills Teacher for the Mind-Body Medicine program at St. John’s Hospital’s Center for Living in Springfield, IL. Bridget provides training in stress reduction through classes, retreats and individual coaching. She is currently in the process of becoming a Certified Wellness Coach. Thirty years of experience in traditional healthcare and a variety of spiritual practices rooted in the Christian, Buddhist and Twelve-Step Recovery traditions, have given Bridget a strong understanding of the connection between body, mind and spirit in promoting health and well-being. Her deep passion is to help people attain freedom from the forces that bind the mind and heart in suffering.

Our Story

Bridget teaches mindfulness meditation as a spiritual practice and as a tool for stress reduction. She holds an MA in Theology, a BS in Occupational Therapy and certification as a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Teacher. Bridget is the Educator Mind-Body Health Services at HSHS St. John’s Hospital Mind-Body Health Services in Springfield, IL, and HSHS St Francis Hospital in Litchfield, IL, and the Wellness Coach for the Prairie Heart Institute Cardiac Rehab program. Through classes, workshops, retreats and individual coaching, Bridget seeks to help her clients harness the connection between mind and body to manage the stresses in their lives and increase their overall health and well-being. Bridget has practiced insight meditation since 1997. Recognized by the Spirit Rock Teachers Council as a Community Dharma Leader, she shares the Dharma by facilitating a weekly online meditation group, teaching classes and workshops, and leading retreats.

Forty years of experience in traditional healthcare and a variety of spiritual practices rooted in the Christian, Buddhist and Twelve-Step Recovery traditions, have given Bridget a strong understanding of the connection between body, mind and spirit in promoting health and well-being.
